05 Mustang GT Door Window tint problem

When I bought my car last year I noticed some streaks on the tint. Well I found out it was some kind of glue or adhesive for this weatherstripping material. Rolling up/down the window made this weatherstripping come up and get more of the glue onto the tint. I'm not sure if this is a...

    3G alt conversion questions (w/pictures...)

I thought about that, and I'm still torn. I figure I need a new alternator due to the EFI amp requirements (and the 'want' to have a stereo system & other accessories such as electric fan & power locks/windows/trunk & extra guages - future projects) so I might as well upgrade to serpentine...

    3G alt conversion questions (w/pictures...)

No the pic is good. And I think that will interfere with the EFI air intake tube & air filter I currently have (stock 5.0 air intake tube). I greatly appreciate you posting that pic. I will definitely keep the bracket for the supercharger conversion (that'll prolly happen in 2013, lol), but I...

    3G alt conversion questions (w/pictures...)

That looks real good! Did you have to get the connector from the donor car? An issue I currently have, is the P/O put in a GM alternator (60 amp) using the GM connector... And now I have the EFI system.

    3G alt conversion questions (w/pictures...)

I have a bracket for a serpentine setup which appears to be the '80s model from what I can tell from the ID tag. on the bracket: E0ZE 10156 BA on the tensioner: E2ZE-6B209-AA and the 4-bolt crank pulley Can you help me find out which 3G alternator I can get that'll work with...

    Paint labor hours?

Nothing personal - understood. That's actually a good point I didn't even think of. Since I don't have $5k to spend on painting the car.. and I'm willing to prep it all myself, how can I find a paint booth to paint it in? My parents house is a definite 'no' this time around.

    Paint labor hours?

A local shop here in San Antonio charges $42/hr paint labor and $28/hr for materials. I'm curious if I do all the bodywork and prep sanding the car to 400 all around, how many hours could I expect them to say to spray primer and a base/clear ?

Pulled the panel and lifted up on the e-brake, seems everything is hooked up correctly there... just need to get under the car now to check from there. ty

    Parking Brake

My parking brake just broke on my 2005 Mustang GT. How hard are those to change? I think it may be the cable, it felt as though something snapped, and it doesn't feel like there is any tension at all now when pulling up on the handle. The car is out of warranty Would this be something I...

Rear Seat Delete w/ Amp rack, Tool box holder

I have a coupe and carry a toolbox in the trunk. Guess you've never broke down before in the middle of no-where - toolboxes come in hand. Often I wonder if I carry enough tools with me... I think the way he incorporated the toolbox into where the rear seat used to be is a great idea! Plus...

    Parking brake cable removal?

How do you remove the parking brake cables from the rear drums on a '66 Mustang Coupe? I can see how to remove them from the body, but not from the drums.. Since I lost my e-brake bracket somewhere down the hwy before I did the EFI conversion, I plan to upgrade to the fox style e-brake lever...

    Starter solenoid problem

Tim65GT - Thanks! After rebolting the solenoid to the inner fender the engine cranks once again, and there is no spark when I connect the battery. :nice: I eventually plan to, I just hate to solder everything to have to re-do it later on. I say that because now I want to relocate the...

    Starter solenoid problem

Doh! You got me there, I did not bolt it back down after replacing it. I'll do that first, then check voltage if necessary. Where's the neutral safety switch located in a '66 Coupe?

    Starter solenoid problem

I'm curious though, if the wire does not get 12v at the 'start' terminal from the ign switch while turning the key, would that indicate a faulty ignition switch?

    Starter solenoid problem

Thank you Tim65GT, I have mine wired the same as the first illustration diagram indicates. I appreciate the link, I was curious to know if it was correct - even though it's worked this way for quite some time now. I need to start saving these diagrams for future reference. I will have to...

    Starter solenoid problem

Well, after searching the forum some more I ran into where it said to check the starter cable to ensure it didn't ground to the headers. Indeed it did, so I removed the cable from the headers, installed a new solenoid - no more sparks when I connect the battery. The yellow wire is one of the...

    Starter solenoid problem

I think I have too much stuff connected to the starter solenoid + side where the battery connects to. I went to start the car, being it's been a month or so since I've started it after doing the EFI conversion. I go to hook up the battery cables and it sparks bad. Then after 2 seconds of having...
