    Header clearance Q

If the car is aligned properly already then cutting them down a bit won't hurt at all. If the car isn't aligned get that done first then see how much of the bolt still sticks out. I did this on my '66.

    Online Data Plate Decoder

Sorry man I didn't mean to come off as a jerk but there's already a perfectly good decoder that most people on this site know of. This one has a fancier GUI though so thumbs up to that I suppose.

68 Fastback has no wiper switch on dash

is it possible that the windshield wipers were a deletable option? I am just shooting in the dark here but it's a possibility I guess.

    351 Windsor enigne

Just get the Heddman's. I think the model number is 88660 or something like that. They're relatively inexpensive and perfect for a drop in. also if going with a manual transmission they're nice for routing a cable clutch setup from what I've heard.

    351 Windsor enigne

yea it fits. It'll require special headers but you can find them for not too expensive. A definitely great swap for us 1st gen. guys.

    Which gears?

^^^ What he said. With that overdrive gear you'd be dumb not to go with a higher rear end ration.

    77 Versailles rear install tips?

I say ditch the versailles brakes and pickup a set of MustangSteve brackets for the 2008 MustangGT brakes. It'll save a bit of weight and also a bit of headache finding and buying parts. I did the swap on my versailles 9" and haven't looked back.

    1964 rear brake light issue

Could be a faulty activator switch. There is a switch attached to the brake pedal that when pressed closes the circuit to turn the brake lights on. Look into replacing that.

    horse power

Honestly probably not getting much more than the stock rated amount. I would say at most you gained like 10hp with the headers depending on how free flowing they are compared to the stock 5.0 shorties. Removing all the belt driven equipment is a minimal difference when horsepower is that low...

    Mustang II Suspension Issue

The pads ARE supposed to always be in contact with the rotor. The hub should still turn freely with the wheel on it. Without the wheel to add some centrifugal force to it the rotor probably won't make it more than a turn when you spin it. If you're finding it's actually affecting the driving...

    5.0 conversion questions

when I did mine I just bought the dipstick tube at the local parts shop and measured the hole size. I then bought the correct bit. On the timing chain cover there is a flat spot on the passenger side that is almost perpendicular to the bottom of the pan with a bit of an angle outwards. After...

    5.0 conversion questions

You need to move the dipstick tube to the front on the timing chain cover(Passenger Side). If a hole isn't present you can drill one. You can then plug the hold (which is on the driver side for the original) with a dowel or something else. As far as the oil you just need a front pan pickup...

Rear leaf spring eye bolt cannot be cut

I tried the bolt method of pushing it through from the outside and it failed just as bad as my original attempts to cut it. You seriously just gotta be patient and you'll start making progress eventually. As much as it stinks to feel like your getting nowhere.

    R15 Tire Selection - '66

hah yea. The Mustang I can't hear them at all cause the engine is loud enough. With the subaru on the other hand it's pretty quiet so the tires you can hear road noise a bit more.

Rear leaf spring eye bolt cannot be cut

Oh I remember trying to get mine out of my '66. What a PITA!!!!. Honestly just get a sawzall and get the strongest blade they make. I forget what they used as the strongest ones. Get lots of them and just keep hacking away at it. If worse comes to worse then you can cut the leaf spring off...

I've got the BFG G-Force KDW's on my 'Stang and my Subaru. Love them on both. Grippy as can be and noise isn't too bad either.
