    Brake Fluid shelf life?

They have dyes you can add to brake fluid for the same effect. I have a small bottle of it somewhere but it turns the brake fluid bright blue. I forget what i used it for

Engine Standard or hi flow water pump?

I have a 3 year old edelbrock on mine and it's been doing fine. Granted I don't drive much. I think the Edelbrock and Flowkooler have what is considered a high volume impeller design.

    Brake Fluid shelf life?

Metal sealed can would prob fare better than a plastic bottle, but I still wouldn't use it. Really it all comes down to if moisture was able to permeate the can.

Black Jack: rough build cost to date.

Oh man, you are brave trying to figure that out. I just won't add it up. My wife asked me once what I spent on the car. Remember i've had it 20+ years so a lot of money over the years went into it. But i told her to just leave that one alone because I don't want to add it up.

Progress Thread finally tuning (and more)

The stock EEC will try to compensate by shortening the pulse width, but without correct injector settings it can get messy fast. I’d have to dig into the GUFB doc I have for the stock ECU on Mon. I’m actually curious so I’ll take a look but it’s 600+ pages so get hard to decipher. I don’t want...

    2000 GT: Styling Bar Time

I do need to do something about this. A little annoying. I figure I can add a switch to turn it off when I drive with top up. If I was motivated to pull the bar and panels off again I’m sure I could make some sort of switch that works off the top pressing a push-button to disconnect the...

    2000 GT: Styling Bar Time

Done. That actually really wasn’t that bad. Just take it slow and follow the directions, but pretty straightforward in terms of aligning the templates I did do an oops. Misread that these top holes were supposed to be 1 3/4” hole saw. So had to dremel it wider That was really my...

    2000 GT: Styling Bar Time

Guess I’m getting old and tired in my way, as I didn’t take much in the sense of notes. TBH it was really straight forward the side brackets come with one alignment hole. You simply align to a preexisting hole in the body and mark and drill. It was pretty darn easy. Just have a good...

    Fox Brake pedal too stiff

I trimmed the studs down on my 93 cobra booster. Forget how much I cut off but definitely made it easier to slip it in. Really the two on the inside of the engine bay are the only ones that need some slight trimming

If I switch the muffles I would look to just buy the mufflers and swap them out. I have the Panhard bar so fit is tight and I know what I have works First question really is to look up dimensions of the flows I want and see if they match the Borlas. I used the clamp stay that allows for easy...

Front ATS brakes with Taurus rear brakes. Full parts needed?

There's a lot more you are missing in terms of misc fittings, brake hoses, banjo bolts, etc. This thread below has some good info to read up on that might steer you towards a more complete list...

    2000 GT: Styling Bar Time

After hemming and hawing for a year or so, finally got the styling bar. I’ve always liked this look since the 90s on the SN95 convertible. I ended up buying the 94-98 black color bar. Let’s see if I can get it installed this weekend

Yeah…I’m never happy. I dropped a hint to LMR to make some 17x9 or 17x10.5” versions of my polished 01 cobra wheels. If they do that…my decision is made

    Fox Brake pedal too stiff

Off-topic, but information that deserves to be recorded. Years ago I was conversing with a Ford engineer on corral who did the brake system for the 1994 Cobra. This is the story he told me regarding the development of the 1994 Cobra brakes. Originally the setup came with a 1" bore MC. Well...

Engine Would you replace these OEM motor mounts?

I’m running the Stifflers X-member so those bushings are poly or maybe even delrin. I had the ES trans mount as well and ended up removing that for a stock style rubber

Engine Would you replace these OEM motor mounts?

I run the ES poly engine mounts with an NOS trans mount. I had poly, but had way too much vibration at the shifter so i went back to rubber on the trans mount. I like this setup a lot. The ES poly mounts are the convertible style mounts. The prothane ones are the 87-90 hardtop style...

    Fox Brake pedal too stiff

Which generation Cobra brakes do you have up front? If you have the 94-98 versions, you'd really want the 94-95 Cobra 15/16" MC. (they can be used with the 1" 93 cobra MC but first stop on cold pads might be a little lacking) If you have the 99-04 versions, the 93 Cobra 1" MC is the right one...

Back at it with the car. Fall weather is upon us, which for some reasons seems to be when I drive the Fox the most. Got it out again Sat and did some more tuning with AutoTune on. Making less changes now in the normal driving band. I have good response and torque. Have not had the chance...

    Engine Which fan clutch ?

Same. Fits like a glove and keeps the car cool with the ac on. Not knocking the simplicity of the fan clutch setup, but e-fans can be set up to be pretty darn reliable and efficient. I don’t even have my fan set to be on most of the time. Above 40mph it’s off.
