newb with a new toy (advise?)

Get some times first so you can know what you're working with. If the car is making 290 like you was told it should put down some good numbers for you.

    Noisy Rear End

Like said it could be your gears or maybe your fluid is pretty old or leaked out. If it's worn gears I would be ready to add some 3.73's. (maybe 4.10's since you have an aod)

Cheapest place for E-Brake Cables for Rear Disk? 5 lug Question

I think it's just best to get the 16 dollar cable. If you didn't need it than it wouldn't be a big lost vs. taking apart the car and finding out you do need it.

    93 Cobra Motor

Check the heads and see if it has the three bars on them. If so then they're gt-40s.

    Under drive pullys or no?

I never had a problem with my pulleys stock or moddified. I've been driving with them for over six years now. They do cause the alt to charge a little less but that never drained my battery. Car cooled just fine too.

    Help with a powerful sound

I have a 2.5 o/r h pipe, 2 chamber flows, and equal length headers. I easily turn heads. Plus the cam and heads help a little too. :D

    That's with your 351w right? I think he's looking for 302 power.

    Need storker opinions

Well I want a reliable car. If I have to give up some horses for it so be it. I want a low 12 second car on street tires. I wouldn't mind dancing around the 11.99 mark. 350 rwhp would be good for me. Trying to do it with ported gt-40's and maybe the new bbk intake.

Cheapest place for E-Brake Cables for Rear Disk? 5 lug Question

I went ahead and got the middle ebrake cable. It's only 16 bucks and I would hate to not have it and find out I need it when I'm under the car working.

So what I'm gathering is durablility isn't really a concern. That's nice to hear. I'm still leaning towards the 331 but it's a big money project.

Cheapest place for E-Brake Cables for Rear Disk? 5 lug Question

It dragged using the stock center cable? My e-brake will be pretty important to me so I would like to get my facts straight before diving into the project. Side note: What MC and booster did you use with your brake setup. Did you feel a big difference in braking?

Need help ditching my stock belt tensioner

I got mines from Summitracing.com. Don't remember the part number but just look up March alternator bracket. You can take a look at it in the link that's in my sig.

I searched the limited 2 pages that were provided to me and I read through the threads. Most of them were comparing horsepower potential. I plan to call some companies and ask a few "local racers" but I would also like to hear from you guys. Thanks.

    Need storker opinions

Need stroker opinions I decided to go 331 but people at the races are telling me that it isn't good for a everyday street car. It would only last me about 7-10,000 miles. How true is this? I was told it's better to bore to 306 and I can get good power and possibly high 11's with that. Low...

Cheapest place for E-Brake Cables for Rear Disk? 5 lug Question

I was told by a company that sells caliper brackets that the center cable isn't needed either. I'll find out in a couple of weeks when I put everything on.

Anyone have pics of a GT with a 93 Cobra kit?

Well I just have the rear bumper and front cobra insert. And it's not silver. I guess me posting here is pointless. You can still check out the car in the sig though.

    Does this actually work?

Put the plugs in and gapped them at .049. I'm very happy with the results. Better pedal response and no more hasitation and backfire at cold start ups. The old plugs were all gapped at .54 when I took them off. They were autolites.
