anyone ever tried this? drilling drums?

stand corrected. I was thinking that too about drilling the backing plates. There is room. could you not add some sort of funnel for catching air and nipple with hose for channeling it into the drum? I am sure that smarter people than I have probably already thought of this.

anyone ever tried this? drilling drums?

Heres my thoughts....if it would have done any good and been structurally sound shelby would have done it already. I mean the man redesigned the complete suspention geometry by drilling a few holes and adjusting the alignment and ford couldnt figure that out.

If I remember right, I pulled one out of another door that I had and compared them. But if nothing else you can pull the one out of your other door to compare (just mirrored)

    Scary possessed passenger door

I am willing to bet its a spring that has broken and when you are taking it out you dont realize that its missing. I know its a pain, but see if you can take both sides out and compare. I am pretty sure I had this happen years ago and replaced the spring with a $.35 hardware store spring...

    Shelby drop and Springs?!

did both....realize that a 1 inch "shelby drop" is a change on the mount, but the net result to the stance is actually about 1/4 inch. So with both you will have a net of 1 1/4 inch drop. In my case the springs were already worn and had already dropped the car some so I did not even get a full...

Bench front seat w/ split uppers?

If you mean the backs were seperate and the base was a bench then that was a normal bench seat. dont remember for 68, but in 67 there were only 8000 of em. I LOVE mine. I had buckets in it for a while and hated the way they dump you to the center of the car during cornering, the bench raised...

    Cooper, Yokohama, Goodrich?

I didnt say they were good wet weather tires....only that they were hard and had good life. Coopers were just as hard and nearly killed me several times over.

    Cooper, Yokohama, Goodrich?

I had a lot of problems with coopers coming apart on me about 10 years ago. This was before the SUV roleover issue and the dealers would not replace them as defective. BFG are hard and get great mileage for the price.

'68 blinker hood and stripes... looks?

I painted stripes on the hood of my 67 with gloss black at a time that it was VERY bad to do things like that. oh well, I was never given a ticket by the concoure police. For daily drivers and such I would suggest gloss. Flat back is SOOOO hard to keep clean and to wax around. (sorry, no...
