Thinking of buying a 97 Cobra

I would find out why. To me that is a big deal because it leads to me some repairs were done or some rigging was done by someone who has no idea what they are doing.

    adjustable clutch cable

Yes you can. I had an Adj one and it stretched on me while going down the track. OEM w/ a fw adjuster will work.

    flowtech guys ..

I have been running Flowtech LT's for 2 years with the Ford gaskets and no issues. Ask him when the Flowtech seals don't hold, is he willing to re-do the job again for free?

Flowtech longtubes and Bassani exhaust questions. If you either, come on in!

When we did my flowtech LT's they went in fine. The X pipe sucked and was way off. I had to do a little prying and finagling and got her to fit. Almost 3 years later not a single problem with them yet. Here is a sound clip of my LT's on my 4V http://svt4u2try.com/media/LT3.avi

    1996 Mustang GT

Yes, but you don't always want to shift at peak power. I am not sure with the 2V's, but the 4V's still breathe after 5800 and it helps us stay in the powerband when we shift higher than peak power being we aren't further down the rpms range in the following gear.

    4v heads on a GT?

You would need these items to do it correctly Heads and all valve train Timing cover for the secondary chains Intake T Body Injectors Modify the harness Crank for higher rpms Pistons(higher cr now) coolant tube if I recall A tune I am sure there might be a few other parts. It would be cost...

    1996 Mustang GT

You do not have 3.27s then. 3.27's keep you in 3rd all the way through the traps. I didn't even hit redline in my 4v with 3.27's and I have a higher redline than you. 4.10's cause you to have to shift right before the traps.

    caster camber plates and Y

Camber Caster plates are used to adjust the camber/caster settings on the top of the struts on our cars. These come on stock vehicles and sit on top of the strut tower and can be seen in the engine bay. When you lower the vehicle from 2" or more, the stock ones do not allow as much adjustment...

    1996 Mustang GT

I was content with 4.10's on my old 97 GT

    1996 Mustang GT

I would do 4.10's. The 96 GT in stock form is a slow dog and you may have more gear than what the car needs. Now if you had some engine work and headwork then those gears may benefit you.

Brand new FRPP 3.73's have broken teeth! Need advice!!

You wouldn't be able to get a good wear pattern to test backlash and all that with a warped ring gear.

dealer wants $850 for a gear install?

That is actually a fair "dealership" price. They are going by their hours and hourly rate. It is crazy for someone to go into a dealership to ask for that kind of work to begin with.
