    Need Urgent Help After Rebuild!

That's with a cooler in the drivers fenderwell so it's not dumping heat into the radiator. 270 isn't too hot, but it is why I run such heavy oil, to preserve viscosity and shear resistance at high temps. Oil temp over 300 would concern me.

    Need Urgent Help After Rebuild!

I'm in the exact same boat with a brand new, never fired M-6007-E50 302 crate engine built by the Ford factory on a virgin block. Blackstone oil analysis on the 2nd fill after break-in showed nothing alarming. Running the same Autometer mechanical pressure gauge with the same plumbing as my...

    Suspension Koni Or Bilstein

Yes, don't discount balljoints and bushings as a source of ride harshness that won't be fixed by just replacing the struts.

    Suspension Koni Or Bilstein

They rattle like hell with most c/c plates and they bug people who know better with their 10 "way" adjustable. They mean, their adjustments have 10 positions. Fools the ricers, so hey. "Way" refers to ranges of damping, e.g. Koni single-adjustables are adjustable for rebound only and...

    Suspension Koni Or Bilstein

Bilsteins are great right out of the box. I like them both, and I personally run Koni's, but it's easy to get the adustments wrong on the Koni's and if you're not tracking it, there's no sense in screwing with them.

    Suspension Koni Or Bilstein

In the case of your intended usage, I'd go Bilstein.

    Exhaust Bullet Style Catalytic Converters

You're going to be using two of them, so the engine capacity thing is pretty irrelevant. If you're looking for straight-in, straight-out 2.5-inch converter, 59956 is the one you want. Unfortunately Magnaflow's new website blows goats and you can't seem to search the catalog unless you put a...

    Exhaust Bullet Style Catalytic Converters

Hardly at all, if at all.

    Exhaust Bullet Style Catalytic Converters

I installed some Magnaflow 59956 Spun Metallics a few years ago for exactly this reason. At the time, I didn't have to undergo emissions testing, I was just tired of the stink. They're so tiny it's hard to believe they do anything at all, but they worked like a charm, and withstood the abuse...

    Engine Car Retards Timing Itself???

I was going to ask if the roll pin had sheared in the gear

Updated: 1st Run In 86 Gt, Low Mph (in My Opinion) Any Ideas?

60 foot or no 60 foot, MPH is still a pretty good indicator, and 94 mph is awful for that combo. He should be running 101 half asleep. Something is majorly wrong.

    Rpm Needle Bounce

I've had a bad coil and bad grounds both cause this as well.

    Nice Rack

THIS! If you live near a major market, there's almost certainly a local rack specialist who can rebuild the rack with new seals etc while leaving your spool valve and torsion bar intact. Those are the parts responsible for "feel" and your chances of getting the same feel back out of a...

    Nice Rack

3 turns lock to lock = 20:1 non-hi-po rack 2.5 turns lock to lock = '87-90 15:1 hi-po rack 2.25 turns lock to lock = '91-93 15:1 hi-po rack that DID come from the factory, same as the others except for thicker rack travel limiters.

Replace Oil Pan Gasket In Car

If you support the engine properly you can drop the K-member completely out of the car, leave the engine in place, and have full access to the pan. Short of that...PITA.

Fox Mach 1 Chin Spoiler On My Notch

I'll post some video later on. I don't think it made any handling difference, if it did it was way overshadowed by my new Eibach rear swaybar LOL. The hood vent was for cooling. Again, since I don't datalog, I only have anectdotal evidence, I don't think it kept ultimate temps lower but it...

Fox Mach 1 Chin Spoiler On My Notch

I haven't had it out yet, I will tonight though. I don't expect any differences except I hope the duct openings are big enough.

Fox Mach 1 Chin Spoiler On My Notch

Finally completed the job, which included new brake ducts and the holes to feed them. I had a ranger airdam on it which worked, but looked ugly, and when the ducts got damaged and worn out, I decided to try the Mach 1. It fit pretty good, I just had to slit the backing in two places so I could...

Which Rad Fan , Yeah I Know

DCC is also a soft-start, arguably the first, but yeah, if you want one two days from now instead of invoking goat sacrifice and visits to palm readers trying to divine when yours will be delivered, you need to look elsewhere.
