brake on off switch

Hello brand new to this site, my name is Lee I just purchased a 1998 mustang GT and one of the problems is the brake lights are not working, I've read thread after thread nothing fits my exact situation, so I guess I can start by what I have done so far. The tail lights and blinkers work fine...
