wiper problems

2007 with 90k. Great car except this just started. We would hit a bump and wipers would move just a bit, one inch or less. Got worse over a couple of weeks and I replaced the wiper motor today thinking the little board in it had gone bad. This didn't seem to help. Haven't put it all back...
