The plastic trim on my seat is broken in three pieces.

The trim has clean breaks so the parts will be easy to reassemble...

Inside view of the damage

Some 2-part epoxy and it's stitched up... But we need more strength to deal with the rigors of life inside my car, hauling kids to the skatepark and to the beach...

So fiberglass cloth is cut to cover the repair area.

A nice layer of goo and we're getting closer to a stronger, more durable repair.

Once the "glass" is set, all you can see from the outside is a small seam... But it won't matter, considering where it is placed, out of sight once in the car.

The seat awaits to be reunited with the trim.

Here we go. All done and the repair sits under the door sill and seatbelt mechanism.

This took and evening to do, the night to cure and 10 minutes to bolt back.

you could also fill in the gap with CA glue(after the repair) and then re dye the part
