Yeah, The new 05 mustang COMES with over 300 horse power stock. But I still like the current generation of mustang better (Looks wise).

Any one agree

Nope. While I like the previous gen, I like the classic styling of the '05 much better.

Sorry, no. It's easy to cling on to what's familiar, and have trouble adjusting to new things. It's quite common actually. When the SN-95 was introduced in 1994, there were droves of folks just like you who were still loyal to the '93 and older. The good thing for you, is your beloved current gens will be real cheap to buy used!!!

I do but with some tweaks, like a new hood, different wheels and a spoiler delete I think the 05 will look pretty sweet.

Like this...

Furthermore, remember how many devoted Mustangers PUKED when the '99 was introduced???? It was just short of rioting in the streets. They were all wrong (including myself), they just needed time to adjust and get comfortable with the radical change.

True. I was taken aback when they introduced the 94. But when the 99 was unveiled I wasn't so shocked. Maybe because the 94 was so drastic a change when compared to 79-93's long era.

99-04 are the SAME car except for a different rear wing and maybe having or not having a hood scoop.

and center consoles since 99 and 2000 had the 2 DIN radio slots instead of the 1.5DIN.

Check the poll results on my CarDomain page. The poll asks which body style do you prefer? Out of 257 votes 24% say they prefer the '99-'04 body style while 21% say they like the '05 best. It will be interesting to see what the poll does after the '05 is released. I expect the '05s to get more votes then. I, for one, loved the '99 Mustang when I first saw it up close. The only part I did not like was the spoiler, which they later changed. I did not have as good of a reaction to the '05 when I saw it. I'm still holding off my final opinion till I can see it in different colors. It does look really good in silver and I like the pictures I have seen of black ones with the red interior. Of course, all this is just about looks and nothing about performance.

IMHO, the '94-98 Mustangs looked nasty.
The '99-04 versions where an improvement.
I think the 2005 version is really a slick car.

I agree, I like the 01-04 better. I don't dislike the 05 b/c it's new or b/c I can't adapt to change... I just think it's incredibly out of proportion and very bland.
Not the only one though:
-The original Mustang I can't stand, that thing doesn't look agressive from ANY angle. Doesn't even come close to looking like a muscle/sports car to me. (im not too into old cars, but the fastbacks and all the others that came later were all mostlyok looking and I have nothing against those)
- the Fox bodies are quite possibly the ugliest cars I have ever seen. How those things say "muscle car" or "sports car" is beyond me. I remember when I was little my dad was looking for a car, he went to check out a Mustang and when he saw it he freaked out and was like "THAT is a mustang?!?!?".... that was like in 89 I think.... it looks like a little economy car.
- The 94-98 I can stand but don't really like, look too much like the current Ford Escorts and again..... THAT's a sports car??? but they were getting there...
- The 99-00 I never liked, too plain and I couldn't believe they were still using that ugly 1970's radio on the center console.

So there's something for everyone, The only ones I can really say i "like" are the 01-04 models. I have friends with some very souped up Foxes and even older ones.... old car guys drool over their cars constantly. I have the 02 GT, young girls drool over mine..... its just whatever your into. I have noticed that around here the local Oldies radio station is doing this huge thing promoting the 05 so with that and the huge nostalgia factor I think it will be a big hit with the older crowd.

This line makes me feel old. I was 25 in '89.

Nope, you're one of the few who still likes the old model better. However I would say that if Ford had extended the wheelbase like they did with the FR-500 project car, it would improve the looks of the 99-04 drastically by getting rid of that hobby-horse short wheel base look. The big front overhang on the 99-04's makes them look wimpy.

But I'm glad there are still people like you who like the 99-04s That way when the time comes I'll be able to sell my '01 GT instead of having to send it to the crusher.

I desagree...

I think the new Stang have beautiful retro look remind me the "67-"73 past model's and I really like it!

My only problem is quality and power... I think Ford make a very nice looking car, it's big step in the great legendery past! It just need to be polish a little bit and give the power boost we need's...

Nah, i like 'em both. Besides, once you start seeing some tricked out 05s on the street you'll change your opinion.

i like the 99-04's a lot better than the 05's

i hate the 05's due to the fog lights being big like the mach 1 style but being all plastic (if you look close they look really cheap looking). Also i'm not a fan of a new car looking like an old car, If you want the old look why not go buy an original mach 1?
