Umm, it pulls considerably harder but I wouldn't say it feels more powerful. A better description would be the car feels much lighter.

btw, mine's an auto, so the results can vary from a 5-speed.

I have a 2003 GT and I just installed 4.10 gears and used the Diablosport Predator to fix my speedo about a week ago and the feel is great especially in 2nd the car pulls 10 times harder than before. I hands down believe this was the best first mod I could have done.

This is not very scientific, but I will tell you what I did to document the difference between the stock gears and the 4.10's on my '00 GT 5 spd.

I have a g-meter (don't make fun of me). I made multiple runs with the g-meter with stock gears and recorded the maximum g's that I got in each gear. then I performed the same test after putting on the 4.10's. Here are the results:

3.27's

1 st - 0.45
2nd - 0.34
3rd - 0.24
4th - 0.15
5th - 0.07

4.10's

1st - 0.57 g's
2nd - 0.47 g's
3rd - 0.35 g's
4th - 0.25 g's
5th - 0.15 g's

I think that sort of sums it up. Of course all that added g's does not all translate into more performance, as you have to shift more. As you can see, 2nd will feel like 1ft and 1st just feels like "holy crap".

I think he ment that the RPMs are going up SOOO fast that if you want to shift at red line, you should start to shift at 5K because by the time you actually do it,it will be at red line.

Go HoTO! YOU ARE THE MAN.

There is no way we could make fun of a G meter!!! that was the best description of the feeling I could imagine.

I had 4.10's installed on my 2002 GT auto at 19,000 miles with a custom JMS chip - What a difference! The car squats and then hold on. I no have a little over 46,000 miles on the car and would do it all over again. I will tell you this you do pay for it at the pump. Makes a Great car even better.

i have an 02 gt w/4.10's. that was the first thing i had done, and i thought it was worth every penny. a set of 4.10's and sticky tires and you'll have no problems off the line.

No problems off the line at all until one of your stock axles gives up the ghost....

RPM's will be dependent on tire size and tranny type:
4:10's with stock 245x45x17 80 MPH AODE is 3013 and manual in 5th is 3444
4:10's with aftermarket 275x35x18 80 MPH AODE is 3025 and manual in 5th is 3458.
