Does the 03 cobra front bumper directly fit on an 01 GT or would I have to get an 01 cobra front bumper?

You can put that nose on a '99-'04 car. Adn soon you will be able to put it on a '94-'98.

ABC Exclusive has them in Urethane. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page.

I wouldn't consider it "false advertising". If I had cobra badges all over my car THAT would be though.

Call Ford and ask them what they get for a real one. I bet it's 2 or 3 times that.

all 99-04 cars are the same, if you want the 03-04 cobra bumper if will fit on there just fine.

Not quite, per FRPP the OEM Cobra Bumper requires the Cobra specific hood also.

"fit fine" as it will fit, everyone knows that with the stock GT hood you get that gap with the 03 Cobra bumper.

If you call Ford and ask about the real '03 bumper one or two things may happen...

1) They will ask significantly more for the real OEM part than any aftermarket brand. (Rest assured on this)

and/or

2) They will give you a lecture about how the part numbers changed between the '02 and '03 models and that no way in hell is the part going to fit.

That's what they did to me when I called about an '03 Cobra hood before I bought the one I am waiting to come in. Anyway, that was my experience calling Ford about anything related to the 03 Cobra. I almost asked them about the front bumper too but I didn't get around to it because the $770 price tag (seriously) on the hood for an '03 made me ill so I wasn't interested in hearing anymore prices.

I believe the 03 will go on, but it was designed for special use with the 03 custom hood. So if you are using your stock GT hood, a shop will have to make some modifications in order to make it fit. It might look a bit wierd up close, but you can make it work. But i've seen it done.
