I just made a deal to buy front and rear seats from a 03 Cobra for my 02 GT. Is there any installation problems I will run into? Do they bolt up like my stock seats? What about the wiring? Is the wiring harness the same?

Thanks

Everything should bolt in and plug in as normal.

I was talking about the ones in my cobra. The bolts and harnesses look exactly the same.

Just make sure it is coupe for coupe, and convertible for convertible.

So even though the Cobra's have the extra controls for adjusting how snug the sides of the seats are... the harness's still are identical to the GT's??

I paid $1000 for front and rear, I hope that's a good deal? At least it was local and I didn't have to take a chance that they would show up and be really thrashed or not show up at all. Anyone have any idea what I can get out of my stock cloth seats?

That is fair market value for sure. They typically go for $900 to $1400 for nice ones.

So, is does the GT's harness plug right into the Cobra seat? And if so, does all of the Cobra seat functionality work?

I don't know yet. The guy I bought the seats from is supposed to come over tonight and then I will install them. As soon as I get them in I will post a reply and let you know if I have any problems. It sounds to me like it should be plug - n - play with full functionality. If anyone hasn't sat in an 03 cobra it is a night and day difference from the stock GT seats! Well worth the investment.

I made the mistake of sitting in one when I owned my 2002 GT and ended up trading in the gt and hour later

neoclasiccl - if you want to make my payments I would do the same! (p.s. nice ride)

I actually played with the idea of buying a cobra but I would loose too much money on my car so I can't justify it, that and my wife would kick me out on the street. The cobra seats are comfortable but not that comfortable!
