Ok,I love the car, best mustang I've ever driven but damn I was expecting more.I had 3 runs and 60' was between 2.24-2.28, I need more wheel time to get the clutch down.ET was 14.04/14.59 [miss 2nd]/14.13,first 1 was at 101.9 in 3rd and last run pulled 4th at 5K and went 99.8.I shifted at 6200 every pass.I know my 60's suck but damn even accounting for this its maybe a best of 13.7 area? Not what I expected stock with violator mufflers [no gain I'm sure] and mobile 1 oil.
My 2000 Z28 with flowmaster CB and lid did 2.1's and ran 13.3/13.4 @106.Evan smith got a 13.28 at 101 and most mags got around 13.7,they must be right I guess I expected more.

your sixties are horrible. you need to practice launching. my sixties were similar at first, now i have them below 2.05 on stock tires. its hard to make up time lost in the first 60 feet.

I agree,I didn't modulate the clutch real well and leaving at 2400 with a slip got me no tire spin but a bog.I assume maybe a 13.5 on a good run just would like a 13.2 with a tire.........

i know how you feel, i ran a 14.4 my first time out. sucked but i need alot more practice. I'm sure after more wheel time i could get mid 13s hopefully.

Definitely need to work on the launching, Glenn. Good to see you out there. I was wondering how you did. Did you have your wife in the car when you went down the strip with you?

Also, it's time for a tune. Doug at Bamachips knows the Bullitt intake inside and out, and you'll see a huge increase in HP and throttle response by getting a SCT tuner from him.

I quit trying to make cars go fast. Its just to expensive. Ive got right at 25k in my 05 V6 with a 10psi procharger and 3.73s. That was buying used parts when possible and doing all the work myself. It will spank most Mustang GTs unless they have a power adder. In comparison my Honda Rune runs mid 12s right off the showroom floor for 17k and thats for a 900lb cruiser that gets 40+ mpg.

Nowdays I prefer a nice looking mid-performance car that I can afford to drive everyday.

Yeah, good to see you also.We were real limited by time and made 3 quick runs,I was in the car alone.I would have to say a tune is also a must,I'm not real happy about the lack of throttle response, the car almost feels "lazy".I was hoping for a stock 13.4 but I'd have to get a sub 2.0 but with clutch time I could maybe get a 2.0.The camaro on street tires I think did right at 2.04 something but was consistantly under 2.1.The 4.6 is a different animal, never had one before so it will take some curve, the LSX was different that the standard SBC and took some getting used too.
My wife thinks the 89 will eat its lunch,I was hesitant to think so but she may be right. The 5.0 just pulls hard in every gear and has excellent torque.

Get the tune from Bamachips and that will resolve everything you just talked about.

Track was packed as heck. Wasn't a fun night, in the aspect. I was hoping to be able to get 6-8 runs in and dip into the 12s. No racing this weekend, but I'm going to try to get out to the World Series Friday night.

Don't let it get you down. You just got the thing and you dont know it that well and how it reacts.

I am going to take my new GT to the track this friday night as a matter of fact and i am not expecting too much. I am by no means one of these god drivers so best i am expecting is a low 14 and if im lucky a high 13.

But as far as the track, you gotta consider track and air conditions aswell.
