I'm not sure, but I don't think it will. I tried fitting a amp under the passenger seat, it contacts some of the seat but fits. There would have to be no or a very small enclosure. You'd probably have better luck with an 8" sub.

IN one word NO, the seat sits real low and honestly it is hard to get a amp in there, sorry but no deal, DC

You would get **** sound quality out of it, no airspace at all for the sub.

Yeah your best bet is the hatch.

Anyone with a convertible ever pulled up the back seat pad? Looks like if the support bars were removed, and some boxes were made to both hold the subs and support the seat pad...it would work.

I have a pair of 12's in my "trunk", and it's an absolute pain in the ass. The box leaves no room for anything besides my battery.

What do you guys think?

You definitely won't fit a "normal" 8" or 10" sub under the seats. The Subaru WRX has a sub under the passenger seat. I'm not sure what size or how it sounds but you might be able to retrofit it into your car. There's also this Panasonic which seems to be pretty similar. I doubt it sounds great, and it only goes down to 40Hz, but it IS small. http://industrial.panasonic.com/www-data/pdf/AIA0000/AIA0000CE4.pdf

Blaupunkt also makes some VERY low profile subs for use in very tight spaces. They're only a few inches deep. I was considering using something like this in my spare tire well so that i can keep my spare AND have a sub instead of one or the other.
