13.0 with gears and exhaust?

My buddy has a 00 GT with a BBK CAI, 4.30s, custom xpipe with flowmaster 40s and a set of 275 BFG drags. Came back from the track today and showed me a 13.07 1/4 mile with a 1.7 60'. Oh and H&R SS springs..which aint helpin.

Anyone else running times like that with those mods? The weather was particularly good today though, -300ish feet DA.. but man, thats impressive. I've got similar mods on my GT (although its a convertible auto) and my cars a full second behind that.

umm am i the olny one that thinks that time is easily possible with the mods he listed .. 430's and dr's = 1/4 mile time. plus an x cat back and intake.. good for .3-.4 seconds. i ran a 13.4-13.5 with 4.10's and a or p/c in a friends gt consistantly

it's possible guy at my local dragstrip has gotten 13.2's with 4:10's, CAI, exhaust, DR's and a SCT tune. 2001 GT full weight, for a 13.0 he has to be a damn good driver

It's entirely possible. The really good weather helped a lot.

I knew a guy getting 13.0's with minimal modifications when I was hitting the track a lot.

1.7 60' is pretty damn impressive, even for using drag radials. If that's what he got, then that was the key to the 13.0 slip.

It's possible, I did my 12.975@103.68 with a 1.725 60ft on a good d/a day, but normally run 13.0's. Good 60ft makes a huge difference.

Yeah it's possible the 4.30's with drag raidials and a DA factor of -300 is the big reason he is getting those times. Well that and he must be a great driver.

It is not only possible but likely considering a DA of -300, I would need the weather data to plug into the calulator I use to see how much that would add to his time but it's at least a tenth.. so he really rana corrected 13.1 or 13.2 or so..

some of you people on here need to stop calling BS everytime somebody runs really good times. you have to consider there are good drivers out there who race is good weather and go to the track with sticky tires. Do any of you guys that don't beleive his times even knows what happens when you have a - DA number..

I think its entirely possible.
Im hoping to run a 13.4 with catback, x-pipe, and 3.73's still on 18's, street tires, and H&R SS, so hope that its true I think the 4.30's and DR's with a GREAT 60' made it happen.

I vote possible.

I just drove my freinds 02 vert with exhaust, intake, tb and plenum +4.10's and that thing was a goddang freak. It felt a million times stronger than my pos.

my vert went 13.0 with the stock suspension(sway bar on), bbkx, 4.10s , pullies ,off the shelf old school superchip, et streets@ 3600lbs. stock airbox with a k/n.

so im pretty sure its possible

R/T: 0.556 (Sportman)
60': 1.734
330': 5.311
1/8 mile: 8.291@82.410 MPH
1000': 10.875
1/4 mile: 13.066@102.760 MPH

EDIT::check that, i had my sway bar off and seats out....race weight was roughly 3525-3550 with me in the car

still had tailpipes, crossmember, dogbone and full trunk minus spare.

Alright here's the slip from Sunday 11/12/06 at Steele, AL. Elevation is ~550 and DA was about 200ft total. Jackie Chan, this time is almost identical to yours

r/t: .663, 60': 1.732, 1/8: 8.307@82.22, 1/4: 13.068@102.76

Which is interesting to compare to my similar nitrous pass (automatic convertible, stock stall). You can really see how much the hook makes a massive difference in the trap times in his pass.

He can drive, and he can launch. Most people can't. That's why you don't see the majority of "stock" GT's hitting those times.
