There is a black, 1999 SVT Cobra for sale near me for $16,000 OBO. It has 38,900 miles on it and looks GREAT! However, they guy doesn't think the "FIX" was done... Am I getting into a can of worms with this car?

after the warranty runs out, ford has no obligation to fix it.

hell yes it is. they should fix it regardless considering all that happened. but what is 1 guy against Ford Motor Company?

Check with SVT, they might have fixed it. If not, lower the price to $14. Or you can get the Diablo Tuner and add more timing and change the catbacks.

99 Cobra's had a problem and were below the advertised HP.

But not the 320 advertised HP
Ford fixed the Cobra's under warranty if you mentioned it to them

buy the cobra and get the fix. why keep the GT when you can get a Cobra?
