VIN number on the car is located on the drivers side inner fender, just forward of the shock tower. There is a cutout area of the front fender that has all the number stamped there. Also, the numbers are available by partially removing the front fenders and looking on the top, flat section of the inner fender. This would be between the shock tower and the firewall. Did you buy this car without verifying the VIN first? Just curious.

The 64 1/2 is titled as a 65. The 64 1/2 is recognized by the differences in the way it was made and the date it was built on. I'm not sure when they ended but it was probably during the summer of 64.

On top of the inner fender or on the drivers door.

Drivers door is only a warranty number. If it matches the fender number, fine. If no match, then possibly a door replacemnt in the past.
