Hello, I have a 1965 C4 Tranny leaking issue I have been chasing? Going back after acquiring this car it had a tranny leaking issue, at first thought pan gasket? so I replaced and tried to check flatness of old pan, still leaking, next tried another gasket and a new pan, still leaks, after stuffing alot of rags around pan to find leak area, seems like left front side, and above pan gasket, ( maybe one issue fixed), someone said check overflow tube, that seemed like the area, but I now have a hose attached to the end of overflow tube going into a jar with no fluid, not leaking from the tube end, I can't see the connection from tube to casing??? I also was looking for correct dipstick length so to confirm not overflowing tranny?
I also don't know if I have a deeper issue if some other internal seals or gaskets may be failing and causing fluid to drain to bottom of pan area and overflowing, seems to leak one day I clean up and may not leak for 3-5 day when just sitting, Thanks Rick.
