I am reinstalling the driveshaft on my 1966 V8 Auto Mustang and I have a few questions.

First, where can I buy the transmission rear seal where the driveshaft goes into it? And is there a certain size or part number for the seal? I do not have the original.

I know I need to replace at least one of the universal joints (the rear one). It fell apart and some of the pins came out. Where can I buy the universal joint and does anyone know the part number or how to measure for the correct one? Should I replace the front one while I'm at it even though there is nothing wrong with it?

Finally, how do I drain and fill the differential oil? I'm assuming there is still oil in there, but the car has not been driven for about 20 years so I can't be sure. I see a plug on the back. Is this for draining and filling? Does the whole rear axle need to be disconnected?

Any other suggestions or tips are welcome!
Thanks,
Carl

Tranny Seal? Any parts store. The part number will depend on what brand they carry. Same with the u-joint. This is just standard replacement stuff.

The diff plug is for filling. Unfortunately, there is no drain plug on the Ford diffs, and removing the pumplin is the only way to drain it. Fortunately, the fluid really doesn't wear out like engine oil. Pull the plug and fill it with gear oil until fluid trickles out the fill hole.

just go to your favorite parts store and pick up all the parts. Take the old ones in for comparison

To drain the diff, just open the back cover starting from the bottom...do it slow and the fluid will drain nicely... then to fill it, there is a port on the top of the axle tube...it has a fitting on it for a vent. You can unscrew it and fill through that hole... should take about 3qts
