First off what happend.
Was driving from a cold start about 10 mins into the trip, nice loud backfire, just a large band, car died. Started right back up at the stop light and drove okay for the rest of the way. After the car set for 3.5hrs it would not stay running after a start. Would sputter then die. Tried this several times and got a few small back fires since. Later after towed home was able to take off and put the block off plate on the EGR valve also purchased the EGR bypass component. Still same problem. Finally bought a Ford Code Reader. It told me that the EGO sensors were failing. So today I replaced those and got code 11 (system OK) on everything. I still ran into the same problem. Would sputter then die. But after the engine heats up enough it will run perfectly fine. Drive 100mph and everything, but after it sits and cools down, does the same thing. Sputters and dies.
Seems like this evening that I would not stay running at all. So I kept the starter cranking and pushed on the gas a little and seemed like it ran fine, but as soon as the ignition was let off of the car would just die. The Code Reader read out Air Diverter circuit fault.
Any ideas anyone, solution or suggestion, I am running out of patience and gonna go crazy. Any info can help
Thanks,
kevin
