Up for sale is a 1994 Mustang GT AODE with 152,283 miles. I think I am the 3rd/4th owner of the vehicle (I have the carfax available from when I purchased it in 2010). The car was repainted (Ford red metallic) about 2-3 years ago and still looks nice.
I purchased the vehicle in July 2010. I have replaced the headlights and fog lights and bulbs (stock were faded/broken) and polished the rear taillight lenses (they look mint) and polished tailpipes. Driver’s side seat motor and passenger side window motor and lock mechanism replaced. The pod clock was also replaced.
I also had the 8.8 rear-end overhauled at Mustang Specialties in Pompano Beach. This included:
New FMS 4.10 gears
New Ford Racing 28 Spline Track-Lok
ALL New FMS bearings and races and seals
New FMS Aluminum Driveshaft
New TA Aluminum Girdle (with white speedo correction gear)
*Cost me a little over $1300 with labor (have receipt). The car only has 13 miles on it since the rear-end work was done (this was basically from driving it back from the mustang shop to the house to break everything in - no racing).
I did perform a minor tuneup….fuel filter, air filter and oil change and new plugs. I didn’t get the chance to change the cap and rotor.
The transmission shifted firmly and does not slip. I am assuming it was rebuilt within the last couple of years.
Currently, the car will not start. It may be something as simple as a fuel or spark issue but I no longer have the time to work on it and my wife says it has to go. It has been in my garage sittings since the work on the rear end was done.
The car does have a small rear main seal leak and does leak a little bit of coolant. The driver’s side seat also has a small tear in the fabric. Let’s not forget that the car has 152k miles and is 17 years old.
