Just wanted to post my times from tonight. I was expecting a 14.5 and that is what I got. But my 60's were awful. I got 2.3's on all 3 of my passes. Oh well, gotta practice. Let me know some of yalls first runs.

Boy, your message could have been mine!!! Went to the Sacramento Speedway CA and pulled a 14.5 also. Did about 5 runs and that was my best time. Had a great time. I have an 01 GT and Tri-Ax and the rest is completely stock.

You must have been running at Bithlo, right ? Don't feel too bad , on test and tune nights I see people dripping antifreeze, and not driving around the water box, etc My best 60' are always at the beginning of the night for this reason - gets kinda slippery unless they clean it up...

Yeah, it was Bithlo. How'd you know? I'm also running on Goodyear offbrand tires (Esseza's). Which isn't helping much. Aslan, what's your 60's and MPH's?

I can't find the slips right now but I think I was doing around 98 but I can't remember my 60's. If I come across them, I let you know.

Practice, practice, practice........... I've gotten a 2.09 60' on the stock Goodyears, not too shabby for a newbie.

When you hit 13's, you'll feel like you're king.

Then you start thinking 12's..........

Then once you hit that, it'll be 11's. Being a speed addict is a terminal disease.

Death is the only way out of motorsports. Who was that race car driver in that terrible crash that lost the use of his legs? I remember he went racing not too long ago in a BMW specially modified to be controlled only with his hands.

Like I said, there's no way out.

I have what it takes in my closet to put me in the low 12's as we speak. Just a little something something we like to call the Juicy Juice. Just haven't came up with the money yet for a Tach adapter and window switch. But, with these AFS goodyear offbrands I got, it wouldn't be a good idea. The NX kit got me a 14.1 at 99 w/ my old 02 v6 mustang coupe. I feel pretty good with the 14.5's I got last night considering I've only been driving a 5 speed for a month. But it's nothing at the track compared to the 6. I could floor the 6 at the line with no wheel spin. I have to get use to that with this car. GT is a MAJOR difference. I have to learn the whole feather the clutch thing. Love the car though. The only mods I have is air silencer removed, and no spoiler (40th anniversary Crimson Red came that way) and flowmasters. CAI will be here Tuesday. I don't know what I want my first major mod to be. Any suggestions?
