1st question. Just bought a hood off craigslist for my 93 notch. It's a 3 inch cowl hood, made of fiberglass. It's probably a no name hood because I only paid 150 for it but it looks really good. I put it on this past weekend and noticed there are slight gaps on both sides of the hood where it meets the fender. Is it normal for there to be gaps or do I need to try and push the fenders in more?

Question 2. I like the look and wheel size of the pro star welds but I don't want skinnies on the front because I am only going to be using the stang for street use at the moment. What are some of my options here? I still have a 4 lug set up.

Well, to your first question, of course there are gaps. Now how much of a gap do you have with the new hood? Post a picture for us.

Weld only makes the pro star in 5 lug. Summit makes a 4 lug knock off, I think the brand is Vision. They make them in 15x7 which will be fine to run up front.

You may also want to use hood pins with that hood as the quality of the latches of no-name aftermarket hoods tend to be hit or miss which can result in random failure.

For an aftermarket hood, that really isn't that bad. It looks like it could be moved forward a bit.

From what I see, you've already moved the right (passenger) side fender in a bit. You can do the same to the left side to balance out the fender to cowl look. Then when you have done that, recenter the hood. It will look pretty nice then.

How's the gap between the hood and cowl panel look?
