2002 cobra?

I was looking at a cobra today that is for sale. The guy was selling it for his brother and didn't know what year it was, but on the inside of the door it said April 2001. That would make it a 2002, right? I didn't think they made a 2002 Cobra? It had the snakes on the side, "cobra" on the rear bumper, and SVT badges on the trunk. It also had '01 cobra wheels.

Anybody know what year it might be?

the best way to check to make sure it is a cobra is to pop the hood. With a couple hundred bucks i could make my 02 gt look like a cobra from the outside. If it is a cobra it could just be an 01 too. I'm not positive but I would imagine that some would roll out of detroit in april wearing a 2001 tag

there was no 02 model year in the US for the cobra. BUT they did export a few to austrailia. so yes there is such a thing as a 02 cobra, but your not likely to find one in the states

yea there were no cobras sold in this country as 2002 Cobras.

Could a production date of april 2001 be a 2001 model year?

Yes there is a 2004 Cobra. First year they brought the sweet Mystichrome paint back.

yes there is an 04, there will be no 05. there will probably be an 06.. no official word as of yet.

There will not be an 05 Cobra. Either 06 or 07 will be the 1st yeat with the new body style.

id venture to say that a production date of anything in april of year "X" would always be a model of that year, "X"

and ps-that is an 01 cobra
