Roush 2002 Saleen - what's it worth? Really.

I'm a classic Mustang guy ('65 GT350 clone vintage racecar), but I have a friend who needs to move her 2002 Saleen, and needs to price it to get it done. Yellow over charcoal convertible, S281 4.6 285 hp w/ 5 spd manual and the speedster package. 20K miles. We're in Seattle. I'd appreciate any inputs.

Too many variables to get too accurate on a price. Generally see a $20-$25k asking price for non-supercharged 02 vert, and $25-30k with an S/C. Asking prices and actual selling prices are sometime quite different though. It takes the right buyer to appreciate the extra cost of these cars. If she has to move it quick - expect to take a bigger pricing hit.

Most of these cars have fairly low miles. The yellow is worth something to the right buyer, but could be a negative to others.

Where can i find parts for an ssc saleen looking for rear delete back seat or find someone that will let me make one . Thanks

Just like everything right now, specialty cars are a buyers market. Plenty of people have to sell thier "stuff" with the way the economy is. If she "has" to sell it, she will take a hit right now.

Also, being in the mid 40's and raining does not help get top dollar for a convertable.

Agreed. Plus, for some reason later model Saleens seem to be languishing unsold in the Puget Sound area of late. There are several SN95 and New Edge cars that have been on Craigslist for months without selling. The only comparable that I can find under recent sales on eBay went for $23,000.

This really is the wrong time of year to be trying to sell a 'vert. She'd be much better off waiting until the Round-Up in July or the Saleen show in August and bringing it out to one of those.

NADA Estimates

You can get a pretty good approximate form NADA (nadaguides.com), since Kelly Blue book does not list Saleens.
