Does anyone know what kind of modifications I will need to do to get the 2005 GT seats into my 1989 GT?

I know up until 04 the fronts bolt right in with no problem. Not sure about the 05's yet.

Those cars have been out for about a month now? Not long.

DId you find one at a bone yard already?

I dont think anyone has worried about messing with them yet. You may want to find a Tbird or Lincoln LS and compare the mounting bolt pattern since they are all on the same platform. That might be your best bet in a bone yard

There people converting their 2005s into racing cars so they're ripping them apart. The set I have were only in the car for 417miles...
