From what i understand from the forums and magazines that i have been reading it sounds like there are only going to be a certain amount of 2005 gt mustangs. Is that true? And does that mean that being an average Joe I won't just be able to go to a dealer and see on the lot this beautiful car and purchase it? Please reply because i am anxious to know the answer.

Dealerships are alotted a certain number (which I beleive is 5 depending on the dealer), but this is only until production starts in full swing. You have to remember, a whole new makeover, the cars can't be produced overnight so they have to ration them until more are available. Trist me, there won't be a shortage of them.

This question was asked and explained before, but here it is again.

When a car manufacturer like Ford puts a car (like the '05 Stang) into production they have to estimate how many total cars they will sell and how many of each model they will sell. Parts have to be ordered many months in advance.

Historically Mustang GT sales have been about 35% of the total production. So when they did the production planning Ford planned on 38% of sales to be GTs.

However initial orders have been for a much higher percentage of GTs. So Ford has changed their production plans to 50% GTs. With the new production pland, if a dealer wants 10 GTs the only way he will get them is if he also orders 10 V6s.

Yes there will be a shortage of GTs for a while, but eventually supply and demand will balance out.

There will be enough of these GT's to go around to all of us. Give it a few more weeks until production numbers increase.

Im sorry but if im going to buy another Mustang it is going to be a GT.... The Mustang is a muscle car and as such should be a V8. I dont like 50/50 GT and V6 its just not right.. if anything it should be 70gt/30v6

How can you say this?

Historically 70% of Mustang sales have been V6s.

Go all the way back to the 1960s and 60 - 70% of Mustang sales were I6s.

If is was not for the 6 cylinder Mustang, the Mustang would have ceased production 20 years ago. Be thankful that there is a V6 Mustang as it keeps the Mustang a viable product in today's car maket.

Yeah my first Mustang was a 99 V6.........I more recently got my 04 GT. Both are awesome cars, I just love the sound of a V8 as much as everybody else does.
