It is not for everyone. To me, the sharper lines on the 05 front end go better with the lines of the classic mustangs. I am not really into chrome that much, so to have the bumpers blend in looks better to me. And besides it would just be the headlight buckets, bumper and valance.

I do agree that the sn95 would look good with some classic styling.

mustangman70, those are some very good videos you found.

OTOH, I can't help but look at the '05-'08 Mustang and wonder what it would look like if you added some more classic influence like chrome bumpers front and rear, or a restyle to a 69-70 nose.

I've done the same thing, but the reason you don't see it done is that it would have to pass DOT regulations.

I also agree with Reen as to thinking it a silly exercise, to exorcise the classic from a classic, however the same reason you don;t see chrome metal bumpers on SN197s is why you see such heavily modded classics...they only have to pass safety requirements from 40+ years ago.

"Chrome bumper" does not mean it has to be chrome plated steel. Have you seen all the chrome-plated plastic on the fronts of latemodel Nissan trucks and
VWs?

Hmmmm......interesting, but not exactly what I was thinking. Somehow that reminds me of the kind of stick on plastic chrome you would normally find at a PT Cruiser convention.....

You weren't alone, I misunderstood reen too. I read that first comment and was like WTF, this has to be a joke, this is what he does. He just wasn't very clear in what he meant I guess.
