looks like the Pats will be in the superbowl again...

Here, I've highlighted teams which made the playoffs this year:

New England Patriots
Home: Buffalo, Miami, N.Y. Jets, Denver, Kansas City, Arizona, St. Louis, Pittsburgh
Away: Buffalo, Miami, N.Y. Jets, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Indianapolis

They've got a decently easy schedule, if there is such a thing in the NFL, but they'll still have to get thru Indy/San Diego/Pittsburgh in the playoffs which will be no easy task. But I do believe they'll be back in it; after all, i'm a Patriots fan with lots of hope :D :flag:

Compared to the 4 teams the Giants play that made the playoffs this past year?

I know this sounds absurd, but after the Patriots clinch their division and secure home-field advantage for the playoffs (if they do).. then I think they should blow a game, just to get the pressure/media from undefeated season off their backs if they haven't already lost one.

Monday night, October 20th.. Denver at New England.. That's the game i'm aiming to order tickets for!

:rlaugh: The schedule officially just comes out and people have the Pats in the Superbowl already. Some people never learn.

What don't some people never learn? That they've won 3 superbowls since 2001 and they've played in 4? That they're the only team to ever go 16-0.. and they went 18-0 before losing a game.. and they have the NFL record for consecutive wins at 21.. Damn, they must be a terrible and overrated franchise.

Not saying they'll make it, but the general consensus around the NFL is that they're still the team to beat and they're still considered to be the model franchise by many teams. They only lost 1 game, which unfortunately came at the worst time, but it was only 1 game. They're still the only team to go 16-0.

What i've heard for Superbowl predictions involve the NFC being represented by Dallas or the Eagles.. which I would actually like to see those two play in the NFC Title game, even though I can't stand Dallas. As for AFC, it seems to most likely be a 3-horse race between the Pats, Colts, and Chargers.

All of that means nothing. Brady could break his arm in the first game of the season. Game over for the Pats. I've been a Steelers fan since the early 70's before they won anything. I've never shot my mouth off about the Steelers like you people do about the Pats. Even when they won 4 in 6 years I was'nt going around saying they were Superbowl bound and going to win. I was nervous as hell because I thought they were going to lose because the teams they played were legends (Except when they played the Rams in '80). When they won again in '06 I sure as hell was'nt screaming their Superbowl bound again in '07. I go game by game because even last year the Steelers lost to some lame duck teams, and the Playoffs is a totally up in the air scenario. The Superbowl? Well we saw what happened with that. Somewhat like when the Raiders played Tampa Bay in '02. Most people never gave Tampa a chance. I did'nt. But the Pats was a different story because of all the rediculous smack talk all year. Yeah, they went undefeated, but what will everyone remember?

Everyone knows that would be bad if Brady broke his arm... What if Peyton broke his arm? What if Eli broke his arm? What if Seattles QB broke his arm?... Willie Parker broke his leg and we saw what happened to the steelers. That's no-brainer crap that if your best player gets hurt it's over.

Patriots went 14-2 in '03 and won the SB.. oh yeah, they did the exact same thing the next year. Didn't do much in '05, started picking back up in '06 and now they've got the pieces coming back together to stay on top of the AFC; it's not like they suffered a big loss in the offseason.. they're pretty much the same team. So what if Stallworth left, he got phased out at the end of the season anyways Asante Samuel? He's replaceable as well... They kept who they had to keep if they wanted to continue being the team to beat.
