Hello,

I went to the lot with the very specific intention of buying another truck, but made the mistake of testing a 5.0. Long story short, 8 weeks later, I love this car (3.73; Brembo's; manual transmission) in ways that border on unnatural.
My problem is that I sail a very light carbon fiber dinghy (an International Foiling Moth) which I'll need to tow (gulp) about three times per week (year round) to practice and regattas. The trailer, Moth and gear weigh 473lbs. and I'll tow a total of about 4K per year. The boat is on a dolly so there won't be any backing down ramps to launch.
I've read everything on the topic within the reach of a Google search and am well within the towing capacity of the car.
Nonetheless, might this be a risk to the health and longevity of the car?

Sincere thanks,

Paul

Put a hidden hitch on the car and call it a day.

I thought you were going to say moths ate your interior or something, haha! I can't see that being a problem. Sub-500 lbs is kindof an afterthought.

A Mustang towing a performance sailboat should make a pretty cool picture, too.
