During the Daytona 500, a commercial aired that showed many old Fords. At the end, a silver futuristic car blew by. Was that the 2012 Mustang? I've been trying to find the commercial online with no luck. Does anyone have a link to it?

If that was the 2012 Mustang, I need to get the '04 Mach paid off and start saving. I want one of those. I could hear a supercharger whine as it passed, but I'm hoping for something in the V10 category. The shape is teapdropped, with a long hood. All it needs from the rearend is three-bar taillamps.

Just curious, did anyone else rewind the DVR and pause on this car as it passed?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that is the Shelby GR-1 concept car. The updated version of the original Shelby Daytona Coupe. I have a few die cast of that car from 1BaddRide.

That looks a lot like a Jaguar XKR.

From what I've heard that is what is slated to replace the Ford GT.

605hp from a DOHC 6.4L V10 in concept form. Not sure what engine it will have if they produce it.

Correct, that is to replace the GT... It's build on the same chassis also.

bubble busted

If that replaces the GT, I'm quite sure the wife won't let me sell the house for it. She won't let me sell it for a Ferrari F430, either. I don't get that

Hey, you can always live in your car, but you can't drive your house.

That's still a beautiful car. I see the commercial frequently now, and turn up the volume to hear the S/C whine.

No way Ford will ever put a V10 in the Mustang.

If anything, the size of the engines would go down... not up.

At least... not until we find a permanent replacement for gasoline.

there will never be a v10 but bigger v8's are always cool. :OT: We should never replace gasoline, we just need more. I'm addicted to big oil and damn proud of it. Time to tap open Alaska and let her flow!!!

I hope it also has a leather wrapped dash option, And more interior treatment instead of plastic everywhere. And sportier seats and the list goes on and on.......
