Got my build date and VIN for my new mustang.

March 5th will be its build date. I am incredibly excited

sometime in february. March 18th is the date that it will be delivered.

Thanks. I ordered mine on 2/15 and expect a VIN next week. I was just wondering if the process would be a little shorter so early in the model year. The 2010 Fusion that I ordered took exactly 2 months to the day from order to delivery.

It seems it takes less time, do understand that my order was a dealer stock order, not a retail order. We decided just to do dealer stock as it would be much faster.

Mine had the same birthday. Ordered Jan.27 . ETA of 20/03/12 .

Ya, I think that it said march 18th for delivery in the computer for me, but thats a sunday, makes no sense. I would guess mine will be there the 19th or 20th.

Luckily i work in the IT Security Department here. Most people in the company can't visit those sites either so your not alone.

ouch did you have to pay that entire msrp when you order them, my 12 has everything you ordered plus alot.....Don't know how it works when you get them specialized versus built to you (clicked it let me in)

I got A-plan and a $500 rebate, so its something like 32k. So expensive, but not absolutely absurd like the sticker.

32k isn't bad....I seen 37K, but yeah mine came with all the options listed in my signature, and it was close to 39K but got it for 34K, so was happy with it. I was only wondering because I'm really tempted to get rid of my lava red for the gotta have it green. Don't ask me why, I got the special color for 12 just something about that color

Lava Red is a color that I would hold on to for the rest of my life, that was probably the most limited color ran on the S197 mustangs to date.

Trust me I know, I just like the brightness of that green....what I may do is after I pay off the suv is see how much it would be to get that color on a v6 conv for the wife and trade in her 04

Ya, the green is beautiful. I sat in one at the detroit auto show and was in love, went to the dealer a couple weeks later and ordered her. So, I definitely see where your coming from. I just wouldn't want to see you take a beating on the trade in for a car that probably would be worth less in the long run.

yeah i know what ur saying as much as i would like to I would have a hard time parting with it, mainly because I'm not a big fan of conv's and if i did get rid of my 5.0 coupe it would have to be for a conv which means it would have to be an auto, and the wife will slowly claim my car, as of right now she cannot because its a 6speed and she doesn't drive manuals
