So I am upgrading from my 245/60/R15's to 255/60/R15's in the rear. I just figured out a slight problem though. My Uncle has the tire changer and was able to take my wheels down to his shop yesterday. I quickly removed the wheels and sent them with him to get the new meats put on. As of now I have the Mustang parked in a one car garage. I pushed it all the way up against the wall by carfully parallel parking it which took the better part of a morning getting it to the point where I could also pull my Bronco in to the garage. The garage only has one door so when it comes time to pull the stang out for the summer I am going to have to do the same dance of pulling it back and forth until I can get it out the door. My problem is this; when I took the wheel off closest to the wall it only had about an inch of clearence to roll it out. So roughly a foot of clearance from the wall to the car. Are the 255's going to be more then an inch wider then the 245's? If so I am going to have to start all over again and pull the car out before I can put the new meats on. Let Me Know,
