Yeah, I took all that off. Even the mold part line in front was shaved off.
Is there still paint on that?

That nub is for the ac hose right?
I've never had to replace the floor in any car I've built unless it was a freakin drag car...I do not envy you.So here’s what I’m dealing with. Turns out there was already a patch done right on top of the old, so now I have that, plus the original floor to cut out, and hopefully have some good metal to weld back to.

Those little HF welding carts are the " one car garages" of welding carts. I have one too. It's so jammed up with sht I can't find stuff half the time. ( looks like welding rats live there)
I actually managed to find a very early Explorer intake in a local yard that doesn't have that nub on it. That was used as a point to mount a clip through which the throttle cables passed. You did an excellent job blending it!No more nub!!! Still a little more grinding/ shaping...... but not bad I guess.
I have a very similar cart. I'm very gentle with it, but it leans like crazy and is generally too flimsy for my taste. I'm going to use it as a template to build my own cart once we move.I was pretty good for a while, but lately I’ve been doing a lot more practicing, buying more tools (clamps, pliers, etc). You are 100% correct. (I keep seeing your post in my head). These things become a complete mess in no time.
I must figure something out to keep it somewhat organized!! Im thinking some small tool boxes to just put on the two shelves. At least the mess will be contained in the boxes.
(I also keep seeing your “even a monkey can weld” posts in my head).....so I must keep practicing to prove I’m a step above those monkeys!! I think I’m getting close.

Excellent progress on the floor! Rusty floor replacement isn't terribly fun.
