3 questions after searching AOD info

65 coupe, 289, C4, 6 bolt block, Edelbrock intake and 4bl carb, std diff.

1) Shorten drive shaft or yolk. If yolk, C4 yolk or AOD conversion yolk and how much?

2) If dirve shaft 50 inches?

3) Will the throttle rod set up std with a 289 4bl work with the Lokar AOD kick down?

I will be doing the conversion in January and need to make sure I get it right. Many words are out there and many conflict. If anyone know of the ultimate swap thread, please send me there. I don't want to spend mare than necessary but am more interested in making the project as "bolt on" as possible to save down time on my daily driver.

I bought the AOD conversion kit which comes with a new yolk. I took my driveshaft in today to have the yolks swapped. The guy grabbed the new yolk and measured it. He tool the driveshaft w/old yolk and placed it on a table. Before I knew he cut 1 inch of the yolk, did a little fancy work, polished. I could not even tell it was cut. He charged me $20.00. I am doing a EFI conversion so I do not know how the rod situation will work out..

So he cut the yolk from your C4 and you did not need the new one? Whos kit did you use and were you happy with it?
