Jumping it = using booster cables to connect the battery from your running truck to the battery of your stang, and starting the stang while its hooked up. This way, your truck is giving the stang power.

It should do the trick. I would try a new battery, and it if doesnt work, return it.

The crank is alot harder to turn than my old 302 though. thats why im thinkin the starter doesnt have enough torque. I have a ton of voltage, i can any aplliance to its fullest.

WHAT???!!??

It may be the starter after all, but im using the same worn out starter as my old 302 on my new 331 with no problems at all. I guess the starter is your next thing in line to troubleshoot.

Are you measuring the voltage with a voltmeter, or going off your stock gauge?

I'd still try a new battery, if that doesnt work, you can return the new battery!

Try cleaning the grounds really well with sandpaper, make sure they are nice and clean, that way you know the grounds are no longer a problem.

Also check the ground that goes from the REAR of your motor and bolts to the firewall, i've heard it's important to have grounded.

would it still try to start with a bad ground? because the starter tries, just cant spin the motor fast enough.

I've gotta get on this.
Your stock starter shoudn't have any problem's turning over that 347. Hell I run a factory starter on my big 10.8:1 408 Stroker, and it does alright. Something dosn't seem right here. Usually if a starter is shot it's shot. They usually don't power out or anything like your's, they usually just die or won't turn over at all. It's just not getting enough power to crank that motor over is what I think. Try the solenoid for the hell of it. Either that or you messed up on the clearences (Bearing's, Rings etc.) and the clearences are so tight that the starter dosn't have enough power to turn over such a tight engine. How hard was the motor to turn over by hand? Was it really hard? Did you have to you a snipe?
