I'm also looking at gears. I have a 04 Mach and when I use this calculator it says with the 5sp that my rpms at 70mph would be 3161.

At 55mph they are 2483

I'd be hesitant to run 4.30s on a daily driven 5 speed. Goodluck finding traction. Assuming you get or have good rear tires (maybe DR's) your car will launch like a rocket. But still, I personally think its a little too steep for a daily driven 5 speed.

My 3.90's are Pro 5.0, I would have gotten FRPP's if they made 3.90's but they dont so..... I think FRPP's are the best way to go. I've also heard that they have the least amount of whining.

Just a little FYI for all you guys. The gears that FRPP sells are made at the same plant that ALL the gears that go into ALL Ford cars and trucks.
We even make gears for NASCAR.

Same thing with the Aluminum driveshafts and a few other products.

I'll be getting my 4.10's in a week or so, but I plan on hitting the strip this weekend first for a few runs all stock.

P.S. That gear calculator on the Randy's Ring and Pinion web site is pretty slick. You can even get a better idea of your RPM's if you plug in you final drive ratio if you scroll down. Tire calculator is a bonus too!

Sorry to mislead you KaPPaBall, but we actually aren't making the aluminum driveshafts at my plant anymore. I was simply just stating that some performance parts that FRPP sells are made in the same plants as standard production parts(OEM). When we did make those at my plant, we could get those no problem. I'd try to hook you up, but I can't.
Ford(Visteon) is actually in the process of moving the entire Driveshaft assembly area down from Sterling to Monroe. I'm having trouble getting one for myself, but I've got a bud working on getting one for me. Your best bet for a GOOD price is either Summit or Ramchargers. I think they sell them for like $175.

I have a question that I thought was answered but another thread led me to believe otherwise. What would my redline be in my GT with 4.10's and 4.30's....that is my big questions. I don't want to redline in fourth gear at under 100mph. ??
