Depends on what type of headers you're talking about. Longtubes are a MAJOR PITA to install, I myself am not even considering it and if I was i'd have a shop do it. Midlengths don't have much documentation but I guess are easier to install than LT's. Shorties are fairly simple compared to LT's and Midpipes but the gains from them are subpar. Use the search function and you'll find more info than you'll know what to do with regarding this subject as well as the PI swap subject.

I've done both LT's and shorty's. Both are a PITA. Do yourself a favor and drop the K-Member. Go here for more info. Header Install

I personally dont think all the work to drop the k-member is worth the gains you get from longtubes. Maybe if you were doing brakes or springs at the same time, but the install is a real PITA.

20 rwhp throughout the powerband sure seems worth it to me.

Its worth it. Do the work yourself and you will learn a lot about your car. Since it is time consuming I would encourage you to get the best headers and gaskets you can buy..

long tubes are a pain. but if you pair them up with some cams, the gains are seriously noticable. the shop that did my cams and long tubes pulled my motor.
