4.6 swap

I've got a 96 gt auto. i'm thinking of swapping to a 5.0,i was wondering since the 94-95 had the 5.0 will a 96 support the engine aswell,would a computer change be necessary and will my aode work.

i would think you'll need to get computer from 5.0 as well. donno anything about trans.
and is motor mount attatch poin same on 4.6 and 5.0? if not u need to get different Kmenber as well

If it's your DD you shouldn't do it, it's not legal. only 4.6L engines are

I doubt the 4.6 K member will fit a 302 without and modding, you'll need the computer though

Too much work. Swap in 4.6L DOHC.

I forgot he needs to change everywire from dash forward and the speedometer.

If you want to get a 5.0 you might as well get a 5.7

I agree, it is illegal to swap engines and drive it on the street if it is not 20+ years old. Maybe its different in your state though, or is it a national thing.
