c&l worked great til a bolt broke off in it and wouldn't get out. after extended efforts, the hole is fubard. so i figured why not try the trickflow.

I like mine, except it whistles. Sounds sort of like blowing over the top of an open coke bottle. Did your C&L whistle?

I got mine last summer, when the price was $143. Wish I would have waited for the current $99 price - the best plenum value out there.

I have had mine for a while now and no problems at all with it. Didn't feel any diifernce with it though, but it does look good.

Best plenum value on the net! I actually got an even knock-off-e-er one on ebay a few months ago, only $70 bucks shipped Exact casting of a C&L, just no logos, then I port/polished and gasket matched.

i put on the trickflow, and it looks better, and works just as good. the whistling could be your iac. so check that out. mine went bad, and made a humming then whistling sound.

You have a leak somewhere.

I thought I had eliminated any chance of a leak, and that the design of the plenum itself caused the whistle. I'll triple check it.

I tefloned the threads of all the fittings that go into it, and snugged them down tight. I'm still using the stock tb. The gaskets seemed fine. I guess the source of a leak would be tb to plenum or plenum to manifold.

I put a little bead of RTV between my plenum and TB...just to be sure.

Does the RTV replace the gasket?

No, you definatly need a gasket. Get some gaskets from Ford, they are dirt
cheap. Make sure you torque the bolts as evenly as posible. dont over tighten.
