will a 5.0 motor mount to an 4 cylinder automatic trans? I just rebuilt my 5.0 and the manual trans i put in has a broken input shaft, and the only other trans i have at the time is a 4 cylinder automatic. wondering if it will bolt up to the 5.0?

5.0 tranny help please!!!!

I built a 5.0 and just took it out for the first drive of the year. While driving the manual trans i had in it broke. I want to get it back up and running for now and the only other tansmission that i currently have is from a 4 cylinder automatic. Will that mount to the 5.0? just till i can get another manual?

ive heard of 4cyl manual transmission swap on to a 5.0 auto but with v8 bellhousing. it had to be babied though no stomping it.
i think it would be the same if you had a 5.0 bell housing for it...and you might need the crossmember to , shifter , linkage everything v8 would have.
i just bought my first stang so im no expert, but it might be doable

the 5.0 t5's you had didnt last more than 20 miles.

^ i know right? however the best one we had ever had came out of a 4 banger with like 400k miles on it and i got it for $85 lol, I think the syncro's were gone before i hit the end of the driveway..

You can bolt up a 4 cyl manual trans to a 5.0 if you change the bellhousing, but auto's have a one piece case so the answer to your question is no, the bellhousing won't bolt up.

i heard you gots a clean (valid) title so i am going to buy it back when i come down.. nasty 351 or lq9 lol
