Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have a 85 GT that is leaking antifreeze. It's leaking on the drivers side of the motor, toward the front. I have checked all the hoses and the freeze plugs. They all seem fine. I see antifreeze by the oil filter and fuel pump area!? Where is it coming from? Head gasket? Manifold gasket? Please help!

The water pump does not appear to be leaking. The thermostat housing is fine too.

Take it to Autozone and have them put the pressure test widget on the radiator. It will put air pressure in the radiator and you can watch for leaks.

My car was leaking coolant from the timing cover where the water passages meet the block.

All suggestions were good ones. It can be leaking from a number of places. If you don't want to pressure test it like jrichker suggested, then just bring the car up to operating temperature and get under the hood and engine to look for the leak. My bet is either the timing cover or the weep hole in the water pump.

Thanks for the advise. I didn't know that Autozone can do that. I'll check it out.

Thanks again

Check your exhaust to see if you might be burning some. Sometimes after it's been running you can take your finger over the pipe and find some coolant if it is passing through.
