5.0 Reverse Lights

My girlfriend has a 1988 5.0 and i was curious as to what your ideas were on her reverse lights.

We switched out a 5 speed for a c-4 tranny and the problem is when her car is in reverse her lights do not come on, not to mention her brake lights dont work either. I was curious on what your take was on this problem....im not stressing but she wants to get it inspected and is wigging out on the matter.

Brake lights are controlled by a switch that is ON the brake pedal itself, It's black and located about halfway up right where the brake pedal connects to the booster rod. Might want to check out that switch.

As for reverse lights, there should be a connecter on the tranny for it. There should be a 4-wire harness coming from the car. Two wires are for nuetral safety. Just jump these out since i don't think a C4 has a NSS. The other two wires are for reverse lights. I'm pretty sure the C-4 has reverse light switch somewhere on it. Just need to locate it and hook it up
