My 1992 convertible wont start. It cranks fine but wont fire up. I cannot hear the fuel pump run either. So I replaced the inertia switch. Still wont start. I just replaced the fuel filter about a week ago and it ran good for about 70 miles before this happened. I also added some lucas fuel treatment. Today, I purchased a fuel pump relay from Advance Auto. And for some reason it does not fit. I even checked their website, and according to them, I have the right part. Please correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the fuel pump relay located under the Mass air flow? Before this problem occured, the fuel pump was always "noisey" when you turned the ignition on. Now there is no noise at all. Do I need a new fuel pump? If so what are some good brands? My mustang is basically stock, so I dont need anything too fancy.
