I know tork tech inc makes kit for the 99-04 to fit that supercharger. But, i dont think it would work on yours. I might be wrong though, hopefully one of the more smarter guys around here can put their input on it as well.

If you are looking for bigger power though, with the lower compression on that engine compared to the PI motors.......a turbo kit might be a good bang for your buck....and speaking of turbos, Tank (on this forum) bought one for a steal from On 3 Performance or something, the but it now price was like 2400 bucks or something. Seemed legit too!!

i dont know about a turbo, the mustang doesnt sound the same anymore, what i really want to do is put some PI heads on it and go from there. Its really really weak for what it is. My 95 5.0 was monsterous but i had a full exhaust, CAI,intake-manifold upper lower, gears, TB, cam it was definitely fast, it was also a hardtop though so if was definitely much lighter. Gosh i miss that car, i wish i could find the kid that bought it from me id buy it back in a heartbeat or at least would love just to see it or a pic of it. But getting back to topic, yea the 96-98 gt mustangs are extremely weak, at least i dont have an automatic ughh

oh and the guy sold the eaton already. figures, 500 bucks

Keep the look out for a PI motor then. I bought mine for 1k flat with 38K miles.

but i see what you mean about turbos...only reason why I'd do it is because of the power it makes, and all the little tuners and ricers get REALLY jealous.

A shop did the installation and Tuning. make sure u get a tuner. I know some guys will say u dont need one, But, im a huge believer when it comes to tune.

as far as the work. When I got the parts, and money. I didnt wanna risk F'ing up because I am on a budget, which is why i coughed over the money for someone whos done it countless times to do it.

HOWEVER, if you have the "right" tools....anything is easy. Thats what i dont have, is all the proper tools.

I talked to someone at Tork Tech (don't remember who) about a year ago. I was asking if they had any solutions to putting the Cobra blower on the NPI heads, and IIRC, he said they were working on something. I know he said that you had to use the timing cover from a PI GT. But at the time I was just asking out of curiosity, no intent involved, and I haven't talked to them again since them. So I have no idea if anything ever came about from that.

Oh, while $500 for what was in that link is a pretty good price, I have seen better a few times. I saw one on Ebay several months ago, which included everything in the CL one above, plus the heat exchanger and coolant reservoir for $700.

I wouldn't spend more then $50 for a crappy Heaton supercharger off of a cobra. They are about the worst supercharger (other then electric) out there. And it would cost close to $3,000 when its all said and done. And for that price you could have gone with an intercooled vortech and made alot more power.

A conservative 380rwhp for $3,000....that's less than you're paying for a base Vortech kit that puts out about the same amount of power and much less than intercooled 2.1L Kenne Bell kit.

That "Heaton" will make upwards of 500rwhp with the right suporting hardware. Hardly what I would call "crappy".

You can put together a vortech setup for $1500 with intercooler and make 400hp on 10lbs safely. I paid just over $3000 to piece together my Novi 2000 setup.

Yea, just the blower about $300. But the CL listing had the blower, inlet, MAF, injectors, belt, and a couple other small miscellaneous things. Heck, the injectors and MAF will run you over $200.

I feel your pain with the slow 96-98 GT's. A good, quick mod for cheap would be to install some PI cams and a PI intake. With the PI cams you won't need to get new valve springs unlike other higher-lift cams. The trick with the cams is that you leave the cam gears on the chains and only remove the cams. That way you don"t have to reset timing or remove the front timing cover. Ford and Anderson Motorsports sells a cam-changing tool. There is plenty of info on intake install and it isn't difficult but TAKE UR TIME! Get a dyno tune after these mods and you will have a nice 225+ RWHP engine (on 87 octane) with a 5500 rpm redline that will work nicely with your 3.73's.

keep in mind you will need the windsor valve covers if you go with a 99-2000 head.. I like the 01+ heads better myself..

oh and yes 5.0's are cheaper and can be faster lol

Really....for a 4.6L 2V....I'd love to see that break down considering the head units alone seem to sell new for somewhere in the $2,000 range sans intercooler and suporting hardware.

In either case, as far as Positive Displacement chargers go, you can't beat $3,000. That's a good deal, for that amount of power any way you slice it!

I find it a little ironic that some people are so eager to put down the Eaton Supercharger, when it's easily the most durable unit available, makes every bit the power and in a lot of cases more useable torque than comparable off the shelf centrifugal kits within the same class range and does it all for about $1,500 less than any Twin Screw on the market.

You immediately dismiss the set up and consider it the worse choice but I on the other hand consider it one of the best.

You could get this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Paxt...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
And buy the bracket for it on superchargersonline.com for $300
You can find 42lbs injectors and maf for $200 just about anywhere
And get an intercooler /w piping for $250 on ebay (I used it for 700rwhp great coolers)

Thats a total of $1450 ic can be done cheaper if you just shop for the head unit a little more.
