6 Bolt or 8 Bolt

How do I know which one I need to order a flywheel. My car is on the racks now at ford and the FRPP flywheel I have does not fit. . I need one ASAP, Mustangtuning has a SPEC the fits 96-98 and mid 01-04 GTs that is 6 bolt. I know that mine is a later 01 with the TR-3650. So, do I need the 6 bolt then. The FRPP I have is an 8-bolt and didn't fit. So am I correct on the 6 bolt then?
