6 second street vette and some hot stangs

One of the final events of the year at E-Town i came across this vette 6 second street car. It's even got power windows and cup holders lol. The most intersting part of this twin turbo is the tank behind the the seats have a freezer unit with a bildge pump in the tanks that actually circulate water with crushed ice through the frame rails which are lined with stainless steel on the inside to cool the beast off the owner explained everything he told me he brings car to parades and idles it along in parade without overheating incredible!!! I threw in a couple other pics from that event u might like!!

If I didn't know any better I'd say the vette is a trailer queen. The time slip proves me wrong!

The Vette is a marvel of technology, and a sweeeet car, but why do people feel the need to paint their cars like that? Its hideous!

Comonn your kiddin right? my car wouldn't have a chance at the inspection station, the vette is parked in the pits at E-Town they are just saying hes running 6 second ETs with drag radials, but the ability to idle around in a parade line with that ride is pretty amazing!!

I'm sorry my friend, the ability to idle for short stints of time at Parade during New Jersy Fall doesn't exactly qualify that thing as a street car in my book. I mean....it that was the only qualification, the Zamboni at the local hockey arena fits the bill as well.

Show me some vids of it running in August rush hour traffic, without overheating, loading up or choking the life out of passers by and we'll talk. Let’s see it take a slow, sharp corner without breaking the rear end loose. Forget passing smog, lets me se it run for an hour on pump gas even.

Race car....Absolutely
Show Car....most certainly
Street Car....Not a chance!!!

Just because someone says tells you its a street car, doesn’t mean that its street worthy.

The was no missing of the point at all, more a blurred definition of “street car” that needed to be clarified. Paying homage to a unique looking Twin Turbo show car, that makes an ungodly amount of power is one thing. It’s not exactly common, but not really impossible to believe either.

Calling it street worthy because it has power windows, cup holders and an owner who chose to install drag radials instead of bias plies.....not so much.

Brian do u get out to the dragsrtrip much theres a class called outlaw street cars,
not street cars like yours and mine, but yet the ability for them to make 6 second passes on drag radials not wrinkle walls (full slicks) is pretty amazing, heres a site to catch u up on outlaw street racing

I'm aware of the Outlaw street class....but that's not what you called it and certainly not how this car was personified in your first post. Maybe you should have titled this thread "6 second outlaw street vette and some hot stangs" and we might have avoided this whole derailment.
