65 warning lights 1 simple question 1 difficult question

1. What does it say on the light. All I can read is an "L" does it say fAIL or FAULT or what. THe letters have worn off.

2. what all is tied to this light? What different things will cause it to flash?

Or does it say "ALT" meaning alternator problem?

ALT would make more sense. Does it flash or blink when you're idling and go away when you give it some gas?

BTW congrates on getting the suspension done..

exactly the opposite. Blinks when I am driving and accellerating and stops when I am stopped/ideling

It says ALT, the other one says BRAKE.

Put a voltmeter across the battery and see if you are getting around 14.4 Volts when the car is running.

NOOOOO thats the OIL Light. On a 65 the instrument panel has either Gen/Alt and Oil. Blinking when aceleration would be low on oil.

I hioe that hasn;t be going on for long. Th

WHOA!! Good call! It is ALT or OIL! I was thinking of my truck when I said ALT And BRAKE. Is it the left or right idiot light?
